 Principal and Co-Founder 

Making an indelible mark on patient care is what fuels Rob, and helps drive excellence at Xact Laboratories on a daily basis. With over 20 years of sales, management, marketing, and business development experience, Rob offers a vast knowledge of all aspects of commercial leadership including sales cycle, business development, implementation of commercial strategies, customer service and sales training. Prior to founding Xact, he spent the whole of his career in the healthcare industry attaining leadership positions in both public and private companies, including involvement in an FDA Clinical Trial. As a managing partner of Xact, Rob sources new growth opportunities and connects Key Opinion Leaders across multiple specialties to develop disruptive competitive advantages in the marketplace.

Principal and Co-Founder  

How can I contribute to the world in a meaningful way, or make an impact on others? This is Jerry’s guiding principle in life and business, its how he approaches each day at Xact Laboratories. As an industry leader in the medical and pharmaceutical sales profession, Jerry brings close to 30 years of valuable insights into the development of innovative sales strategies, consistent and reliable revenue growth, problem solving, talent development and analytics. Prior to founding Xact, he spent his career in the healthcare industry as an integral part in the build out of commercialization sales teams with multiple startup companies.  As a managing partner of Xact, Jerry is deeply involved with day-to-day laboratory operations in Ohio and continues to seek growth levers for Xact.

Medical Director

With over 35 years of experience in anatomic and clinical pathology and laboratory operations,  Dr. Fanelly plays an important leadership role in planning, developing, and directing key aspects of Xact Laboratories, overseeing laboratory operations and reporting test results. He has been in active pathology practice for much of his career, including daily patient care, and has held laboratory directorships at Mercy St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio and  Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio , and Pathology Laboratories Inc. in Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Fanelly is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and is a former member of its House of Delegates.  He also holds current memberships in the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and The Ohio Society of Pathologists, where he is a past president . Dr. Fanelly obtained his B.S. degree in Microbiology from The Ohio State University, and his doctoral degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University. He received his residency training at The University of Toledo and fellowship training at The Cleveland Clinic.  Dr. Fanelly is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology.

Vice President, Information Technology 

Cassandra joined Xact Laboratories in September of 2017 to serve as the Vice President for Information Technology. In this role, Cassandra focuses on creating a laboratory-wide strategy in IT for security, administrative and clinical technologies, while maintaining the laboratories trusted and compliant culture. She partners with executive staff, clinical personnel, and software programmers to bring to life the unique and innovative vision of the Company. She has identified numerous priority areas to enhance the technical solutions our lab has to offer. Most of all, Cassandra has developed a love for personalized medicine. She hopes her work with data-driven science to assist patients with effective treatments will lead to a safer tomorrow.  

 Vice President, Operations

Derek joined Xact Laboratories as Vice President of Operations in 2012.  Since its inception, Derek has been responsible for all aspects of Company operations.  He continues to be instrumental in analyzing how the company is performing and developing best practices for the commercial and operations teams. Derek has more than 20 years of healthcare experience, the vast majority of which has been in leadership roles with national and regional payer organizations.  

Director, Clinical Education

Cynde has been with Xact since 2016 bringing over 30 years of nursing experience, including over 5 years of molecular diagnostic laboratory experience. As well as training new sales staff, she also is responsible for the clinical onboarding of all Company accounts and tasked with ensuring client understanding as well as expediting account adoption. Working closely with Xact’s pharmacists over the years has given her an intimate understanding of PGx. Cynde is able to help demystify genomics for non-technical audiences, providers, and patients. However, the opportunity to speak directly with patients and hearing the impact Xact testing has had on the quality of their lives is what Cynde loves most about her role as Clinical Educator.
